Ceramicist

I create Ceramics using different techniques, styles, and clays, including porcelain. Simple shapes have been transformed and accentuated with colours and textures that give my work individual characteristic and act as a vehicle for self expression.

My inspiration comes from nature all around us. The colours and shapes of flowers and fauna are interpreted as surface decoration using different oxides, slips and glazes. These are applied using Chinese brushes and layered to create abstract designs. All the ceramics are functional .
